The Laundry Attendant is responsible for providing a constant supply of clean linens for the entire hotel. You will be focused on optimizing each guest’s experience by living out our company purpose of “hospitality from our family to yours”.

Responsibilities:
n
• Separate laundry and inspect for stained or damaged linen.
n
• Place laundry into washing machine using proper load capacity restrictions and start machine.
n
• Move laundry from washers into dryers using proper temperature settings.
n
• Fold clean linen and inspect finished laundry to assure high quality standards before storing in linen closet.
n
• Clear dryer from lint or debris after each load.
n
• Monitor laundry chemical levels and change out empty containers.
n
• Report all machine malfunctions or supply shortages to supervisor immediately.
n
• Responsible for monthly linen inventory.
n
• Ensure safety and cleanliness of the laundry room and linen storage by keeping walkways clear, sweeping and mopping floors, and dusting.
n
• Will be cross trained in other housekeeping functions including houseman and housekeeper and will be able to perform these functions as needed.
n
• Greet each guest that you encounter during your shift with a friendly smile.
n
• Ensures uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
n
• Follow hotel procedures for reporting and turning in lost and found articles.
n
• Coordinate with other departments as necessary to resolve service requests or problems.
n
• Ensure guest and associate safety by following established security procedures including emergency procedures, key security and protecting guest and company confidential information.
n
• Follow all company and safety procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; and complete safety training and certifications. Qualifications:
n
• Experience working in laundry, preferably in hospitality
n
• This position is on their feet for the majority of their shift and requires a great deal of standing, walking, bending, stretching, pushing, lifting, pulling, twisting, using arms and hands, and attention to detail.
n
• Must be able to lift, push, or pull 50 pounds
n
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to include mornings, days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
