Pay Range: $32.19 - $48.28

The Registered Nurse delivers direct nursing care in alignment with our established policies, procedures, and protocols. You will be responsible for maintaining the essential knowledge and skills for providing age-appropriate care, facilitating the coordination of interdisciplinary patient care, and delivering education to ensure safe discharges.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Conduct thorough daily rounds on all patients to ensure quality customer service and address unmet requirements.
  • Create comprehensive care plans reflecting the patient's needs, including physical, psychological, social, educational, and rehabilitative aspects based on their age, ethnicity, and lifestyle.
  • Assess patient conditions, set goals, and outline appropriate nursing actions to meet those goals.
  • Promptly assess, intervene, and reassess patients’ self-reported symptoms of pain, taking standard actions as necessary.
  • Identify early warning signs of patient deterioration and respond effectively, including implementing emergency measures when needed.
  • Report observations and reactions regarding patient conditions to the multidisciplinary team and document accurately.
  • Establish effective communication with patients and family members, utilizing educational opportunities to enhance understanding.
  • Initiate discharge planning and patient education as early as possible to optimize understanding and readiness.
  • Delegate nursing tasks as appropriate based on skills and competencies of team members.
  • Perform additional duties as required to meet department needs.

Certification Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse | Must be licensed with the North Dakota Board of Nursing (NDBON) or in a Compact State prior to start date.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) is required within 90 days of starting.

Notes:

  • A temporary RN license may be accepted before start.
  • ND RN Graduate Work Authorization will be considered prior to start, valid for up to 90 days after issue or upon NCLEX result notification, whichever occurs first.
  • An unencumbered nursing license must be obtained before starting.
