The Warehouse Manager oversees all warehouse operations, including inbound and outbound shipping and receiving, inventory management, and adherence to customer requirements. This role will work hand-in-hand with the Production Manager to coordinate all inventory and shipping needs. This role will be instrumental in implementing 5S methodologies and actively participating in the ISO 9001 certification process. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to safety and efficiency.

You should have experience leading change in a warehouse or manufacturing environment, ideally in a high-growth phase company. You have implemented and owned inventory management processes. You can orchestrate shipments in sync with the production team to ensure the timely movement of finished goods.

What You'll Do:

  • Champion of Company Core Values.
  • Team Leadership and Development:

Lead and motivate a team of production associates.

Partner with the Plant Production Manager to leverage shared resources.

Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.

Recruit, hire, and train new employees.

Provide performance feedback and coaching to team members.

Work closely with other departments, such as quality, marketing, and shipping, to ensure seamless operations.

  • Warehouse Operations:

Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and shipping products.

Manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize stockouts.

Implement and maintain efficient warehouse layout and organization.

Coordinate with transportation providers to schedule pickups and deliveries.

Ensure accurate and timely processing of all shipping and receiving documents.

  • Inventory Management

Responsible for all inventory management within the Company, ensuring inbound and outbound shipments properly update inventory records, inventory is always in its designated location(s), and team members are trained on proper inventory management steps.

  • Quality Assurance:

Ensure all raw material testing occurs as part of the receiving process; all customer standards are followed for all outbound shipments.

Lead the implementation of 5S methodologies throughout the warehouse.

Train and motivate employees to adopt and maintain 5S principles.

Conduct regular audits to assess 5S compliance and identify areas for improvement.

Actively participate in the ISO 9001 certification process.

Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 standards and procedures.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation.

  • Safety and Compliance:

Prioritize safety and ensure adherence to all safety regulations and protocols.

Conduct regular safety inspections and training sessions.

Investigate and resolve safety incidents promptly.

Ensure team compliance with plant housekeeping requirements.

  • KPIs and Analytics

Manage and report on team results based upon KPI targets.

Analyze supply chain needs to ensure proper lead times are considered for any inbound and outbound materials.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of warehouse management experience in a manufacturing environment, with direct reports.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse management principles and best practices.
  • Proficiency in warehouse management software and systems.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement, 5S methodologies and ISO 9001 standards.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to operate a forklift, preferred.
