A financial institution that has been in NY and NJ for almost 100 years is seeking an AWS Cloud Engineer to lead all projects and support the Cloud environment. In addition, this person will provide backup support for the Infrastructure department.
Location: Jersey City, NJ (3 days/week in office)
Salary: Up to 175k base + bonus

Responsibilities:
- Develop programs/procedures to enhance the Cloud/LAN/WAN operation and performance, as needed.
- Keep abreast of technological changes for Cloud/LAN/WAN products and make recommendations for those products to benefit the Bank
- Perform or assist in any formal assessments or audits of the Cloud and network infrastructure
- Perform Cloud/LAN/WAN related assignments such as: preventive maintenance issues, budget assistance, and support for hardware and operating systems acquired in the future
- Fulfill administrative reporting requirements such as performance statistics reporting
- Configure, implement, maintain, distribute and document network hardware and software.
- Monitor, manage, and document Cloud connectivity performance.
- Cloud storage design, support, and administration across all environments.
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery procedures.
- Provide second level end user support as needed.
- Work with the vendor and users in the planning, implementation, change control, testing, documentation, performance monitoring, capacity planning, problem resolution and disaster recovery setup
Requirements:
- 7 years of experience in installation and support of Cloud based services (AWS).
- 8+ years of experience in installation and support of information network and storage solutions
- Administration experience in a WINDOWS platform environment
- Implementing and supporting networked environments
- Enterprise storage and SAN environments
- Selecting, implementing, and supporting third-party vendor solutions
- Strong experience with formal Disaster Recovery planning and processes
- Experience in a colocation environment
