Job Summary:

  • We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Construction Superintendent to oversee multifamily construction projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate will manage daily on-site activities, ensure compliance with plans and specifications, and lead the team to deliver projects on schedule, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Leadership and Supervision

• Oversee all on-site operations and construction activities for multifamily projects.

• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and on-site staff to ensure efficient workflow.

• Conduct daily site meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and priorities.

2. Schedule and Progress Management

• Develop and maintain the project schedule in collaboration with the Project Manager.

• Monitor project milestones and adjust schedules to ensure on-time completion.

• Address delays or issues promptly to minimize project disruptions.

3. Quality Control and Compliance

• Ensure all work complies with construction plans, specifications, and quality standards.

• Conduct inspections to verify accuracy and craftsmanship.

• Implement quality assurance measures to meet client and regulatory requirements.

4. Safety Oversight

• Enforce safety protocols and ensure all team members adhere to OSHA and company safety standards.

• Conduct regular safety meetings and site audits to identify and mitigate risks.

• Maintain a safe and clean job site at all times.

5. Resource and Cost Management

• Manage labor, materials, and equipment to ensure efficient use of resources.

• Review and approve timesheets, deliveries, and change orders.

• Assist in budget tracking and cost-control measures.

6. Communication and Reporting

• Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for clients, architects, inspectors, and project stakeholders.

• Provide regular progress updates to the Project Team and address any concerns.

• Maintain detailed project records, including daily logs and site reports.


Qualifications and Requirements:

Education:  High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree in Construction Management or related field is preferred.

Experience:

• 5+ years of experience as a superintendent in multifamily or large-scale residential construction.

• Proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, specifications, and schedules.

• Familiarity with construction management software (e.g., Procore, or similar).

Soft Skills:

• Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Certifications (Preferred):

• OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR, and other relevant certifications.
