Position Overview:
Onward Search is excited to partner with a school in Snohomish County, WA, to find a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a full-time, in-person position. The role will begin at the end of January and will continue through the remainder of the school year, with potential to extend through the 2025-2026 school year.
Details You Should Know:
- Location: In-person only (no hybrid or virtual options).
- Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 37.5
- Caseload: 40 students, with mild to moderate needs.
- Student Age/Grade Level: Elementary
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments for students to identify and address speech or communication disorders.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to meet the needs of each student.
- Provide direct therapy services to students, focusing on language, articulation, fluency, and social communication.
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to track student progress and make necessary adjustments to therapy plans.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of student progress and treatment plans.
- Participate in IEP meetings, offering input and recommendations to ensure comprehensive support for students.
- Support students in developing communication skills that will aid in their academic and social success.
- Provide consultation and professional development for staff regarding speech and language development.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Valid Washington State license as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- ASHA certification (or eligibility).
