Guardianship Attorney - HENDERSON & SUMMERLIN

Day-to-day activities include:
Working on guardianship and conservatorship matters
- Assisting clients with establishing and administering guardianships and conservatorships for minors and incapacitated adults.
- Preparing and filing petitions, reports and accountings required for judicial approval and compliance.
- Advising clients on guardianship responsibilities, fiduciary duties and compliance with statutory requirements
- Providing legal guidance on alternatives to guardianship such as powers of attorney and trusts.
- Assisting clients with planning for incapacity and special needs care.
- Structuring guardianship plans to address financial management, healthcare decisions and living arrangements
- Representing clients in contested guardianship cases, including disputes over capacity , fitness of guardians and fiduciary actions.
- Negotiating settlements and resolving conflicts through mediation and arbitration.
- Drafting and reviewing petitions, orders, annual reports and care plans.
- Preparing legal correspondence, motions and settlement agreements.
- Ensuring accuracy and thoroughness in all legal documentation.
What we would like you to bring to the team…
- J.D. degree from accredited law school
- License to practice law in Nevada
- Strong knowledge of Nevada guardianship law and procedures.
- Exceptional drafting, negotiation and research skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive matters with professionalism and confidentiality.
- Proven ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.
