A leading manufacturer in the work truck industry, is searching for a Human Resources Business Partner to complement the skills and talents of our Human Resources department.
Primary Job Duties:
- Administers health and welfare plans, including enrollments, changes and terminations.
- Assists in the full hiring process of employees, including recruitment, interviews, verifying work-history and references, and tracking of new possible candidates in HRIS.
- Consults with management, providing HR guidance when appropriate.
- Completes form I-9, verifies I-9 documentation and maintains I-9 files.
- Execute all employee termination procedures, including advising employees on their rights and any benefits they are entitled to.
- Prepare materials and help organize employee performance reviews.
- Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs and policies.
- Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations.
- Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal as needed/required.
- Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention. Engagement regularly on the shop floor.
- Weekly Payroll Processing, initial point of contact for inquires and issues related to payroll including training
- Administer/provide employee support for the benefit plans, including enrollments, changes, and terminations
- New Hire Orientations (temp to perm and direct hire employees)
- Supervisor/Manager Training
- Long- and short-term projects as assigned
Skills/ Experience:
- Should have good business acumen, with attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Excellent time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to function well in a high-paced environment
- Experience with ADP Platform or other HRIS is preferred At least 3 years’ experience with ADP or a similar HRIS.
- At least 2 years of leave management (FMLA, STD, LTD, ADA) experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Must have strong organizational, communication and documentation skills and stay on a determined timeline
- Must be proactive and anticipate next steps, work with a strong sense of urgency
- Experience developing and implementing training
- Bilingual preferred; at a minimum, the ability to understand and to make oneself understood in Spanish
Education Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field is preferred
- 5-8 years of Human Resources Experience
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
- Mobility and dexterity to move around office settings including accessing file cabinets or storage and navigating to different workstations.
- Must be able to remain stationary for extended periods of time and engage in some repetitive motion.
- Standing, walking and sitting for extended periods of time.
- Mobility and dexterity to move around operating machinery and powered industrial equipment.
