Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Cost Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in supporting the financial management of design-build projects, ensuring cost control, forecasting accuracy, and alignment with client objectives. This position requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and a deep understanding of construction cost management principles.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with project managers, estimators, and stakeholders to develop accurate cost estimates for design-build projects.
• Monitor and manage project budgets, providing real-time cost control and financial analysis.
• Prepare cost forecasts and variance analyses, identifying risks and recommending mitigation strategies.
• Review contracts, change orders, and scope adjustments to ensure compliance with project budgets and client requirements.
• Analyze and interpret financial data to provide insights and recommendations for cost optimization.
• Maintain detailed records of project costs, including labor, materials, and equipment expenses.
• Create and present comprehensive reports on project financial performance to internal teams and clients.
• Stay updated on industry trends, pricing data, and market conditions to improve cost modeling accuracy.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in cost analysis, preferably within the design-build or construction industry.
• Strong proficiency in cost management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera, or similar tools) and advanced Excel skills.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to diverse audiences.
• Knowledge of construction processes, project lifecycle, and industry standards.
• Proven track record of successfully managing costs on large-scale projects.
• Certification in cost management (e.g., CCP, CEP, or equivalent) is a plus.
