Senior Compliance Manager - Hybrid
Beacon Hill Legal is searching for a Sr Compliance Manager for a major FinTech company's Midtown Manhattan office. This is a hybrid role with 2 days in office and has a salary ranging from $160,000-$210,000.
This person should have at least 6 years of AML/BSA compliance experience. This person would ideally have experience with BaaS or FinTech.
Responsibilities:
- Drive the strategic direction and implementation of the AML Compliance Program, focusing on customer onboarding, sanctions screening, transaction monitoring, risk assessments, and ongoing monitoring processes.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on AML and sanctions compliance, providing guidance and support to compliance team members and internal stakeholders.
- Conduct special investigations and collaborate with the Head of AML Investigations on operational support and strategic initiatives.
- Partner with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Risk, Legal, Product, and Engineering, to integrate compliance considerations into new products and services.
- Act as a liaison with external stakeholders, including banking partners, regulators, and auditors, managing examinations and fostering strong partnerships.
- Design and execute financial crime risk assessments, policies, procedures, and controls to maintain a robust compliance framework.
- Prepare and deliver reports and metrics for the Chief Compliance Officer, leadership team, and Board of Directors, ensuring visibility into the program's health.
- Promote a culture of compliance and awareness throughout the organization.
- Stay current on trends and developments in AML regulations by engaging with regulatory agencies, law enforcement, and industry groups.
- Lead and manage special projects aligned with the organization's AML strategy.
Qualifications:
- 6+ years of experience in compliance roles with a focus on BSA/AML.
- In-depth knowledge of AML regulations, including the USA PATRIOT Act, OFAC, and FinCEN requirements.
- Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) or equivalent certification preferred
