Randstad is hiring a Technology Procurement Specialist to work with our client, a global confectionary, food, pet food, and snack company, that has been making loved brands for more than a century!
This is a contract assignment that starts asap and goes through December 31, 2026 with possible extension or conversion to perm based on performance.
Pay : $50.00 per hour (W2) paid weekly.
The person has to be able to cope with Greenfield Technology and ambiguity Tech procurement. Supply chain & R&D is a bonus
This is a hybrid work schedule with at least one day each week onsite in Chicago.
- Develop and implement global procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals and objectives, focusing on supply chain efficiency and cost reduction.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to identify procurement needs and ensure alignment with project timelines.
- Manage supplier selection, negotiation, and performance evaluation to ensure quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness of materials and services.
- Analyze market trends and supplier landscapes to identify opportunities for innovation and cost savings.
- Lead risk management initiatives to mitigate supply chain disruptions and ensure business continuity.
- Maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders to foster collaboration and drive continuous improvement.
- Monitor and report on procurement metrics and KPIs to assess performance and drive strategic decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and best practices.
Required Skills
- Technology Procurement with large scale Vendors.
- Excel analysis.
- Story telling & presentations.
- Ability to communicate & influence from factory floor through to C-Level Execs.
Industry Experience (software / websites) Must have and good to have.
- Ariba, Sievo, Hicx, Microsoft Office 365.
- Working with executives.
- Working with global requirements.
- Working with Vendors such as Blue Yonder, Siemens, Waites, Acce
