Associate Attorney

We are seeking an experienced employment attorney to join our San Diego office. Individual should have 2-4 years of employment litigation experience. The ideal candidate will have wage and hour experience in both class action and PAGA and will have experience managing and analyzing records to assess compliance issues on a representative basis. Must have excellent writing and oral advocacy skills, and significant experience in discovery and law and motion practice. Responsibilities

• Analyze client needs, identify solutions, and determine case strategies

• Argue motions in court on behalf of clients during legal proceedings

• Advise clients by weighing available options toward a successful outcome and plan a course of action

• Conduct research and draft pleadings, briefs, and motions

• Draft correspondence, legal pleadings, motions, and briefs

• Communicate with partners, associates, paralegals, and clients to ensure cases are handled efficiently

Qualifications & Requirements

• Effective communication skills and problem-solving skills are necessary to work with all levels of staff and clients

• Ability to work with partners and other attorneys to best serve client needs and grow our client base

• Member in good standing and actively involved with the ABA (American Bar Association)

• Successful completion of the bar exam

• Completion of a Juris Doctor (J.D. degree) from an accredited law school

• 1850 billable hours

Compensation

• Looking to fill multiple associate positions at a salary band of $120K-$190K for qualified attorneys with 2-4 years, 5-7 years and 8+ years of experience
