Job Description:


Healthcare organization dedicated to improving patient outcomes through innovative data-driven solutions. We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Data Scientist to join our team and contribute to the development and implementation of advanced analytics solutions for critical healthcare challenges.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement end-to-end machine learning production pipelines, encompassing data exploration, sampling, feature engineering, model building, and rigorous performance evaluation.
  • Leverage Python, R, and other statistical programming tools to create scalable and high-performing analytical solutions.
  • Translate complex functional requirements into detailed technical architectures and robust solutions.
  • Build and validate sophisticated statistical models and machine learning algorithms specifically tailored for healthcare applications.
  • Collaborate effectively within Agile teams to implement cutting-edge big data analytics solutions.
  • Create and maintain data pipelines that are not only scalable and repeatable but also ensure the highest levels of data security and privacy.
  • Develop clear and concise documentation and presentations to effectively communicate technical insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, or a closely related discipline.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in data science or a relevant analytical role.
  • Demonstrated expertise in statistical modeling and a strong foundation in statistical analysis techniques (e.g., regression, hypothesis testing, ANOVA).
  • Proficiency in Python and R, with a proven track record of developing and implementing production-ready machine learning algorithms.
  • In-depth knowledge of SQL and experience working with large-scale, complex datasets.
  • Experience with big data technologies and distributed computing platforms.
  • A strong understanding of statistical methods and their practical applications within the healthcare domain.
  • Experience with healthcare data analytics and a solid understanding of the healthcare industry landscape.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of high-performance algorithms and distributed systems.
  • Experience working within Agile development methodologies.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Knowledge of data security and privacy regulations specific to the healthcare industry (e.g., HIPAA).

Technical Skills:

  • Programming Languages: Python, R (required); Scala/Java (preferred)
  • Machine Learning: Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or similar frameworks
  • Big Data Tools: Experience with batch and streaming processing frameworks
  • Statistical Analysis: Advanced knowledge of statistical modeling techniques
  • Data Visualization: Ability to create clear, impactful, and insightful visualizations
  • Database Systems: Proficiency with SQL and experience with NoSQL databases
