Executive Chef – Premier Catering Company, Raleigh Area



Overview

We are a premier catering company in the Raleigh area seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to lead our culinary team. This role is ideal for a professional with extensive catering experience who thrives in a dynamic environment, is passionate about delivering exceptional food, and excels in leadership and organization. 


Key Responsibilities

  • Culinary Leadership: 
  • Design and execute creative, high-quality menus tailored to various events, from intimate gatherings to large-scale functions. 
  • Ensure all dishes meet our standards for quality, presentation, and taste. 


Operational Management: 

  •  Develop schedules for the culinary team, ensuring adequate coverage for all events and kitchen operations. 
  •  Manage food ordering and inventory, maintaining cost efficiency and minimizing waste. 
  •  Oversee kitchen organization, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. 


Team Leadership:

  •  Hire, train, and mentor kitchen staff to uphold company standards. 
  •  Foster a collaborative and positive work environment. 
  •  Evaluate team performance and provide feedback to encourage growth and excellence. 


Event Collaboration: 

  •  Work closely with event manager and front-of-house staff to ensure seamless execution of events. 
  •  Attend client tastings and consultations as needed to represent the culinary aspect of our services. 


Administrative Duties: 

  • Monitor kitchen budgets, labor costs, and food expenses. 
  • Prepare and maintain reports related to kitchen operations and staff performance. 
  • Use scheduling and ordering software effectively to streamline operations. 


Qualifications

- Proven experience as an Executive Chef, preferably in a high-volume catering environment. 

- Strong knowledge of menu development, food costing, and large-scale food preparation. 

- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team. 

- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. 

- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. 

- Proficiency in kitchen management software and Microsoft Office.
