Job Description

This is a unique position for a marketing professional who has experience in a manufacturing (B2B) environment. The right candidate is a strategic marketer who can develop marketing plans and strategies from scratch as well as oversee and manage them. You must be well organized and be able to manage multiple projects at once. You should have above-average communication skills and the confidence to work with upper management and often times the actual owner of the accounts you manage. This is an integral role on our client management team as the right candidate will serve as the face of our team with their clients.  

 

To be successful in this role, you must become ingrained in your client’s business, working to understand their products, services, culture, personality and voice. They will rely on you to provide strategic marketing direction and be proactive. To do that, you must have an above-average understanding of them and be able to convey that to your team at KG.  

 

You will be asked to do the following on a daily basis: 

 

  • Be proactive and drive marketing activities with your clients 
  • Develop creative marketing solutions with the KG team and communicate those with various levels of management within client organizations 
  • Provide ongoing strategic planning and marketing direction 
  • Maintain a high level of knowledge of marketing best practices, packaging industry trends as well as your client’s products and services 

 

What You’ll Be Doing  

 

  • Serve as primary marketing contact within KG for your assigned clients 
  • Be the strategic guide for all your assigned clients marketing activities 
  • Develop strategy and overall marketing plans, following content marketing principles, that includes content, trade media, digital and social media activities 
  • Schedule, attend and lead all client meetings and product training sessions  
  • Work with internal KG team and external partners on various content and media projects 
  • Perform ongoing competitive research and monitoring 
  • Schedule and manage photo and video shoots  
  • Work with KG team to develop web site, SEO and overall digital marketing strategies 
  • Look for and seek out additional business opportunities from within your assigned clients 
  • Manage and analyze monthly reporting activities and present to client 

 

Requirements  

 

  • 8-10 years professional marketing experience in a B2B, manufacturing environment  
  • Excellent communication skills 
  • Ability to handle multiple projects with attention to detail 
  • Willingness to learn and take pride in your work 
  • Excellent organizational skills with strong degree of self-direction and motivation 
  • Creative thinker with strategic mindset and ability to generate new ideas, troubleshoot issues and solve problems 
  • Desire for continuous improvement and learning 
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications or similar 
  • Packaging or processing industry marketing experience is a BONUS
