Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Finance to join our leadership team. This role will oversee all company financial operations, with a particular focus on product purchasing, pricing strategies, and margin analysis. The ideal candidate will be a forward-thinking financial leader capable of driving financial performance while supporting the company's growth objectives.


Financial Management and Reporting

Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting

Prepare and present financial reports to executive management and board of directors

Manage the month-end and year-end close processes

Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulatory requirements


Strategic Financial Planning

Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with company goals

Conduct financial modeling and analysis to support decision-making

Lead the annual budgeting and planning process


Product Finance

Oversee product purchasing strategies to optimize costs

Develop and implement pricing strategies for products and services

Conduct regular margin analysis to maximize profitability

Work closely with product and sales teams to align financial objectives with market demands


Banking and External Financial Relations

Prepare comprehensive financial information for bank loans and credit applications.

Manage relationships with banks, auditors, and financial institutions

Oversee the preparation of financial documents for tax purposes


Team Management

Supervise the finance team, including employees responsible for accounts payable and accounts receivable.

Oversee the billing and collections processes

Develop and implement financial policies and procedures

Mentor and develop finance team members


Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred

5+ years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role

Strong understanding of financial planning, budgeting, and analysis

Experience with product pricing and margin analysis

Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems

Asset and Inventory Management

Oversee the management of assets, ensuring proper valuation, depreciation, and utilization

Analyze inventory turnover rates and recommend strategies to improve efficiency

Develop financial models to determine optimal inventory levels and reorder points

Collaborate with operations and supply chain teams to balance inventory costs with operational needs

Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards for asset and inventory valuation

Regularly report on asset performance and inventory metrics to senior management
