Clayton Services is searching for an Electrical Estimator to join a thriving company in West Houston. The ideal Electrical Estimator will have experience working on large capital projects.
Job Type: Direct Hire
Pay Rate: $130,000-$150,000/year plus bonus

Onsite Flexibility: Monday & Friday, remote; Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday, in-office
Electrical Estimator Responsibilities:
- Develop competitive bids for engineering design and build projects
- Produce accurate construction estimates based on detailed plans and specs
- Support a client base including contractors, owners, developers, and end-users
- Analyze and interpret complex blueprints, drawings, and technical specs to aid the estimation process
- Develop budget pricing from schematic drawings and narratives
- Provide realistic projections that meet client expectations
- Arrange meetings with clients and vendors
- Draft clear and detailed workshop clarifications, proposals, and vendor solutions.
- Communicate project needs and solutions.
- Attend pre-bid meetings, conferences, and sessions with clients and other project stakeholders.
- Assist team with operating the estimating department
- Contribute to the design and maintenance of computerized estimating programs and databases
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and others
- Perform other duties as assigned

- Microsoft Office proficiency
- Timberline/Sage proficiency
- CAD software proficiency
Electrical Estimator Education and Experience:
- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in construction management, electrical engineering, or a related field is required
- A minimum of 5 years of large capital project estimating experience is required
- Previous experience designing the structure and schedule of projects is highly desired
