A Tier 1 automotive parts supplier is seeking a Plant Engineer to lead the transformation of a newly acquired metal stamping and coating facility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the strategic transformation of the plant, including facility upgrades and equipment overhauls.
• Oversee daily operations to ensure efficiency, safety, and quality standards.
• Manage P&L, budgets, and financial performance in partnership with the plant Controller.
• Collaborate with departments across manufacturing, supply chain, sales, and accounting to drive operational success.
• Direct capital projects and equipment installations to optimize production capabilities.
• Report to the VP and work closely with corporate leadership to meet business objectives.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is preferred, but not required.
• 10+ years of experience in plant engineering, with a strong understanding of manufacturing operations, preferably in metal stamping, injection molding, or related industries.
• Proven experience managing P&L, budgets, and financial performance for a facility.
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing multi-departmental operations and driving process improvements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and build strong relationships.
• AutoCAD experience is required for plant layouts.
