? Position Summary:

An incredible opportunity at an innovative leading energy storage solution company, who are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Battery Electronics Lead to join their team. The successful candidate will take a leadership role in the design and implementation of advanced battery electronics and management systems for Li-Ion battery systems. This position offers the opportunity to lead cutting-edge projects in a dynamic and collaborative environment, driving the development of reliable, efficient, and safe energy solutions.


? Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and delivery of battery electronics and management systems for Li-Ion battery systems, covering all aspects of circuit and hardware design.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of solutions for voltage and temperature sensing, as well as signal management for Li-Ion batteries.
  • Provide expertise in contractor control, state-of-charge algorithms, and other critical battery management concepts.
  • Ensure the integration of functional safety principles into the design and development process, maintaining compliance with industry standards.
  • Guide the creation and refinement of PCBA schematics and layouts to support the battery management system.
  • Drive the entire development lifecycle of Li-Ion battery management systems and associated electronics from concept to production.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering teams and stakeholders to ensure design alignment with project goals.
  • Mentor and guide team members to foster technical growth and ensure successful project execution.
  • Stay abreast of advancements in battery electronics technology and contribute to the continuous improvement of system designs.


? Experience/Qualifications:

  • Deep knowledge of Li-Ion battery design, including voltage and temperature sensing and signal management.
  • Expertise in battery management concepts such as contractor control, state-of-charge algorithms, and related principles.
  • Strong familiarity with functional safety concepts and their application in hardware design.
  • Proficiency in creating and interpreting PCBA schematics and layouts.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading the development of at least one Li-Ion battery management system and its electronics from concept to production.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mathematics, physics, or a related scientific discipline.


? Preferred Experience (not essential):

  • Master’s degree or higher in a relevant field.
  • Proven leadership experience in managing engineering teams or projects.
  • Experience with advanced simulation tools and methodologies for circuit design.
  • Knowledge of relevant industry standards and certifications for Li-Ion battery systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
