Position: Wind Turbine Technician (GE 1.5) - Ter1

Base Salary: $70,000 to $100,000 +Best-in-class benefits
Job Summary:
*Responsible for the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of the power plant and all associated equipment in accordance with procedures, guidelines, and operating directives in effect.
*Independently perform multi-skilled operations and maintenance duties and responsibilities.
*Experienced in performing operational duties, performing major component replacements, mechanical, electrical, troubleshooting and/or instrumentation tasks with minimal supervision.
*Concurrently, perform and adhere to all training requirements and schedules.
*Trains and guides less experienced operations/maintenance personnel.
*Training program requirements are expected to be completed within the designated time frame.
Duties & Responsibilities:
* Adheres to, supports and complies with all company safety and environmental policies and practices. Ensures all employees, contractors and visitors conduct themselves safely and within company policies and regulatory guidelines.
* Complete required annual safety training.
* Under the supervision of the Site Supervisor or O&M Technician, Sr., assist in activities at the site, including startups, shutdowns.
* Assists in the operation of the wind turbine systems.
* Ability to perform major component replacement on turbine.
* Planning, leading and overseeing major component replacements.
Minimum Requirements:
Education And/Or Experience, Knowledge:
* High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred but not required.
* Desired qualifications: 6+ years wind turbine maintenance experience.
* Proficient in the area of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical equipment, systems construction, capacities limitations and operating procedures.
* Understands the turbine design and equipment locations, turbine configurations, and normal range of parameters, temperatures, levels, etc., for common production levels.
* Safe use of tools, plant safety rules, probable causes of equipment and systems malfunctions.
* Ability to operate heavy equipment.
* Intermediate to advanced computer skills in word-processing, spreadsheet, and database software.
* Self-starter with the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
Language Skills:
* Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
* Ability to communicate orally with other employees including the proper use of a radio.
* Ability to follow instructions and follow directions from team members.
* Ability to write routine correspondence.
Mathematical Skills :
* Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
* Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Communication Skills:
* Ability to read and interpret work from simple and/or complex instructions.
* Ability to effectively communicate with others.
* Ability to write routine correspondence.
