Senior Electrical Engineer

Our exciting Space client in Orange County is looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer with experience in the design, development, and implementation of advanced camera systems.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and development of video- camera, compute, and storage systems and related electronic components, including image sensors, image processors, high speed persistent memory devices, high speed digital busses, inter connectivity incl. physical layers, connectors, harnesses.
• Define video system’s requirements and specifications.
• Perform detailed block diagram, circuit design, schematic capture, and PCB layout for subsystems.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues during development, and production
• Assist Test Engineers to develop and execute test plans to verify imaging / storage system performance, image quality, and reliability.
• Collaborate with external suppliers and manufacturers to ensure the timely and cost-effective production of video systems, while maintaining quality standards.

Required Experience:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering, more advanced degrees are preferred.
• Demonstrable experience as hands on development engineer with a specialization in video or camera technologies, preferably in a senior or lead role.
• Fluency in concept design, circuit design, schematic capture, and PCB layout tools (e.g., Altium Designer, Cadence).
• Experience with high-speed interfaces such as MIPI, SLVS, USB, Ethernet, and HDMI.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and debug high speed, and complex electronic systems, utilizing tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and protocol analyzers.
• Solid understanding of embedded systems, firmware development, and software-hardware integration.

Desirable Experience:

• Knowledge of video recording systems, digital camera systems, image sensors, and related components.
• Experience with design or testing for aerospace systems to military or spaceflight standards.
