We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical Design Engineer with expertise in SolidWorks and extensive experience in designing sheet metal and/or stainless-steel drawings. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in the design and development of high-quality mechanical systems, components, and products for various project applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed mechanical designs using SolidWorks, ensuring adherence to industry standards and best practices.
- Design and optimize components and assemblies with a focus on sheet metal and stainless steel fabrication.
- Create 2D and 3D CAD models, drawings, and documentation for manufacturing and assembly processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality, and project management, to ensure designs meet project specifications, timelines, and budgets.
- Conduct engineering calculations, tolerance analysis, and material selection to support design decisions.
- Evaluate and implement design modifications to improve functionality, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Participate in design reviews and provide technical input to ensure product integrity and reliability.
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in design tools, materials, and manufacturing processes relevant to sheet metal and stainless steel.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer, with a strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in SolidWorks and sheet metal or stainless steel design.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as cutting, bending, welding, and finishing for sheet metal and stainless steel.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
