Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise the Structural Design of the projects assigned to this position.
- Lead, and prepare offers to potential customers, considering the corporate guidelines of time, cost and scope, as discussed with Managing Director.
- Manager Structural Engineer is expected to review and analyze the scope, time, and pricing
before discussing these factors with the Managing Director for his final approval.
- Manage the scope, time and cost of the designs contracted assigned to this position.
- Manage/Supervise any subcontractor hired to develop the designs on a particular project.
- Coordinate the architectural and engineering designs according to the information received from the client.
- Plan and execute the designs for all projects assigned to this position.
- Manage and oversee the annual budget, profits, legal requirements, scopes, and times for the services contracted by clients, which have been assigned to this position.
- Oversee that costs for any project are always within the estimated budget, meeting the margins agreed on with the company and the amount contracted by the client.
- For any potential deviation from stated budget and margin, Manager Structural Engineer is expected to define the appropriate strategy to improve the economic efficiency (reduce cost, improve team efficiency, renegotiation with clients, etc.) to guarantee the business volume and profit established at the beginning for the project.
Requirements:
- Bilingual Spanish is a MUST
- 10-15+ years of experience
- BACHELOR’S DEGREE preferable in Civil Engineering
- Professional Engineer in the state of Florida -required
- Project Management experience
- Experience in a variety of project types, scale, and complexity; following project from conception through completion.
- Experience working on concurrent projects, collaborating with multiple design disciplines, and technical production project experience.
