iR has partnered with a Seed Stage Startup Company here in Austin, Texas! They are looking for a Senior Lead Software Engineer to join their team in the new year.
This person will be an entrepreneurial and hands-on Senior Software Engineer Lead who will help shape our client’s engineering team and advance their technology stack as the company grows.
In this role, you will be instrumental in aligning technical initiatives with the company’s strategic vision, ensuring the platform remains cutting-edge, reliable, scalable, and efficient. Reporting directly to the CEO and founder, you will work closely with leaders across Product, Marketing, Sales, Partnerships, and Customer Success.

What you need to be successful in this role:
- 5 -10 years of experience in software development.
- Demonstrated expertise in designing and scaling complex, global platforms, particularly in marketplaces, e-commerce, or consumer-focused internet businesses.
- Deep understanding of agile development methodologies and technical best practices for startups.
- Strong proficiency in full-stack development (React, Node.js, Ruby on Rails) , API design, cloud infrastructure, and security protocols.
- Experience working with international payment systems, data integration, and messaging protocols.
- Proven ability to lead engineering teams, nurture talent, and mentor engineers effectively.
- Exceptional communication skills, capable of conveying technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- A history of aligning technical strategies with business objectives and fostering innovation.
