We're Hiring Senior Telecommunications Technician for Location : Richmond, VA 23231

Length of Assignment : Long-term contract

Are you a skilled telecommunications professional with expertise in fiber optic cable, microwave radio systems, and DC power systems? We are seeking a Senior Telecommunications Technician to join our team and support Dominion Energy's telecommunications infrastructure across Virginia and North Carolina.

What You'll Do :

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot single-mode fiber optic cables, microwave radios, transport routers, and 48v DC power systems.
• Provide 24x7 field support for communication outages, in coordination with the Network Operations Center (NOC).
• Lead small projects and ensure adherence to safety and industry best practices.

op Skills We're Looking For :

? Hands-on experience with single-mode fiber optic cables, fusion splicing, and installation best practices.

? Proficiency in telecommunications equipment installation, including power leads, fuse panels, and cable management.

? Working knowledge of 48v DC power systems and grounding practices for communication structures.

? Experience with microwave radio installation, testing, and troubleshooting.

? Knowledge of DWDM, MPLS equipment, and basic data networking.

• Effective computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Word, SAP, Outlook).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical documentation skills.
• Exceptional communication abilities and a safety-first mindset.

Education :

• High school diploma or GED required.
