Duration: 12+ Month W2 Contract
Pay: $60-$70/hour

Position Summary: The Senior ElectroMechanical Engineer will play a key role in developing next-generation robotic platforms for healthcare. You'll be responsible for designing and testing complex electro-mechanical systems in a regulated medical device environment. This role involves hands-on development, from prototyping to final testing, with a focus on electromechanical assemblies, fixtures, and process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop electromechanical fixtures for medical robotics systems.
- Create specifications and manage the development of manufacturing test and build fixtures.
- Identify and implement improvements in assembly and build processes.
- Support firmware and software development for fixtures.
- Document fixture designs and development improvements.
- Maintain proper test, configuration control, and documentation standards.
- Work on cross-functional projects, collaborating with different teams.
- Assist with vendor communication and procurement.
- Manage projects and communicate progress with stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in electromechanical system development.
- PhD in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Robotics Engineering, or related field.
- Experience in regulated industries like medical devices or aerospace.
- Hands-on experience in designing, assembling, and testing electro-mechanical systems.
- Knowledge of best practices for electromechanical system development.
- Experience with CAD (SolidWorks preferred) and statistical tools (e.g., Minitab).
- Familiarity with MATLAB Simulink or LabView is a plus.
- Experience in firmware/software development is highly desirable.
- Strong project management skills and ability to lead cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office required.
