Basic Function:
Conducts visual and dimensional inspection of materials and products for conformance to customer drawing specifications.
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret customer drawings and specifications
- In-process inspection – visual and dimensional inspection of in-process assemblies as specified in documentation
- Final inspection – visual and dimensional inspection of finished assemblies as specified in documentation
- Ability to interact with production department when issues arise
- Enter inspection results into Inspection Logs
- Generate non-conformance/defect reports as required
- Other responsibilities as required
Skills:
- Experience performing dimensional inspection using hand tools (primarily calipers and tape measures) is required
- Experience reading customer drawings is required
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Basic knowledge of Outlook, Word and Excel is required
- Experience reading customer specifications is preferred
- Experience in regulated manufacturing environment (ISO9001, AS9100, etc) is preferred
- IPC-620 certification is preferred
Education/Training:
HS Diploma or Equivalent is required
Experience:
Minimum two years of experience performing dimensional inspection using hand tools
