Senior Civil Engineering Technician (United States Air Force)

POSITION SUMMARY

As a Senior Civil Engineering Data Management and Design Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in the integration of data management and facility assessments to support Air Force facility construction and maintenance programs at Al Udeid Air Base. This multifaceted position involves utilizing, maintaining, and updating the Sustainment Management System (SMS), specifically BUILDER, to make informed decisions on building infrastructure maintenance. You will oversee the administration of the BUILDER SMS database, ensuring optimal access and usage, while maintaining the accuracy, integrity, and currency of data.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Data Management:
• Utilize, maintain, and update the BUILDER SMS for batch filing and report production.
• Administer functions of the BUILDER SMS database, ensuring optimum access and usage.
• Input and provide quality assurance for all necessary database entries in collaboration with other squadron flights.
• Provide asset visibility through detailed inventory of facility systems, components, and component-sections.

• Facility Condition Assessments:
• Lead facility condition assessments on all Real Property Installed Equipment
• Develop a plan to conduct condition assessments on all building systems to include structural, electrical, HVAC, fire alarms, and utility systems.
• Review and update BUILDER database once facility condition assessments are completed.
• Operate and maintain the Air Force NEXGEN/TRIRIGA work order management systems ensuring accuracy of facility data.

• Safety and Compliance:
• Follow a comprehensive safety program in compliance with OSHA and USAF requirements.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and professional working atmosphere in all facilities and areas.

REQUIREMENTS

• Education/Certifications:
• U.S. military technical training in any of the construction or facility maintenance trades to include but not limited to carpentry, electrical, plumbing, or HVAC as documented on DD214.
• Completion of the Air Force Civil Engineer Management Craftsman course or equivalent.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certificates from the Air Force BUILDER training courses (WMGT 131, WMGT 231, WMGT 331) highly desirable.
• Current, valid U.S. Passport and Driver’s License.
• Valid U.S. SECRET Security Clearance prior to deployment.

• Experience:
• Proficiency in Air Force BUILDER with a minimum of one-year continuous assignment to the Data Manager role, preferred.
• Previous supervisory and training experience.
• Familiar with facility management systems or Air Force Civil Engineering processes
• Experience with the Air Force NEXGEN/TRIRIGA work order system

• Skills:
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Willingness to work extended hours to meet mission requirements.
• Military experience in a contingency environment and knowledge of government contracts, preferred.
