Job Summary:
This position will be an integral part of our medical technology company that develops and manufactures innovative world class medical technologies. The Senior Hardware Engineer will provide design expertise and integration in the area of Electrical/Electronics Engineering development. The hardware engineer will work with a bigger team of engineers to design and develop new products and accessories of mobile medical devices from concept through production.
Duties & Responsibilities:
· Design, verify and validate low noise analog circuit to meet signal to noise ratio, noise and compatibility requirements.
· Design, verify and validate high speed digital signal such as memory lines and RF signals to comply with EMC and other related standards.
· Perform simulations of electrical circuits to validate performance.
· Create clear and concise electrical schematics of circuit designs.
· Perform highly integrated, low noise, high performance PCB layout using CAD software.
· Create and maintain documentations pertaining to designs, verifications and validations.
· Troubleshoot electronic circuits and PCB designs.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
1) Bachelor degree with 8+ years of experience, MS with 6+ years of experience, or PhD degree with 4+ years of experience
2) Schematic layout of electronic design
3) PCB layout of electronic design involving BGAs, microcontroller, and high density layouts, high speed signal layout
4) Low noise analog circuit design
5) Electronic circuit analysis and design
6) Familiarity in EMC requirements for consumer and/or medical products is preferred.
7) Electronic circuit troubleshooting
8) Extensive experience in using test and measurement equipment, such as oscilloscopes, function generator, multimeter, and current probes
9) Working knowledge in C, C++, and C# programming knowledge and application preferred
10) Highly proficient in CAD tool for design capture and layout. Familiarity with Altium CAD tools is highly preferred.
11) Extensive experience in organizing the fabrication, procurement and assembly of PCB and Flex circuit designs from conception to finish.
12) Design and integration of wireless connectivity (i.e. BLE, Wi-Fi) hardware
13) Extensive experience in selecting components/ parts/ technologies based on design requirements
14) Ability to cleanly organize and document design process and highly organized with file management.
15) Ability to work independently, while escalating issues as necessary
16) Prior Medical device manufacturing experience
17) Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to interface effectively with engineering and manufacturing personnel.
18) Experience working in both large structured and small entrepreneurial organizations.
19) Hands on experience with electronic workbench, PCB rework, retrofitting and test equipment.
Physical requirements/Work Environment:
This position primarily works in an office environment with eventual tasks on the electronics workbench. It requires frequent sitting, standing and walking. Daily use of a computer and other computing and digital devices is required. May stand for extended periods when facilitating meetings or walking in the facilities. Some local travel is necessary; therefore the ability to operate a motor vehicle and maintain a valid Driver’s license is required.
