We have two openings: one in Arizona and one in Texas.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated General Engineer to provide professional engineering services focusing on healthcare delivery processes and systems. The successful candidate will ensure that appropriate infrastructure, facilities, and equipment are available to support medical missions effectively. This role requires a solid foundation in engineering principles and the ability to apply them in a healthcare context.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engineering expertise in all aspects of healthcare delivery systems, ensuring infrastructure aligns with medical mission requirements.
Oversee the design, implementation, and evaluation of healthcare facilities and equipment.
Apply principles of engineering science or physics, such as statics, dynamics, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics, to develop innovative solutions.
Conduct comprehensive analyses to ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
Collaborate with architects, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders to optimize the functionality and efficiency of healthcare infrastructure.
Develop and maintain project documentation, including technical specifications, progress reports, and evaluations.
Provide recommendations for improvements to existing systems to enhance healthcare delivery and patient outcomes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering from a program accredited by ABET, or a degree including courses in differential and integral calculus and at least five of the following areas:
Statics, Dynamics
Strength of Materials (Stress-Strain Relationships)
Fluid Mechanics, Hydraulics
Thermodynamics
Electrical Fields and Circuits
Nature and Properties of Materials (Particle and Aggregate Structures)
Other Fundamental Engineering Sciences (e.g., Optics, Heat Transfer, Soil Mechanics, Electronics)
Proven proficiency in English (reading, understanding, speaking, and writing fluently).
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
Prior experience in healthcare or related industries is preferred but not mandatory.
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with healthcare facility design and equipment standards.
Proficiency in engineering tools and software relevant to design and analysis.
Strong project management and communication skills.
