Locally-owned BDO Alliance CPA firm in Hickory seeks Senior Staff Accountant for Audit Department. This Senior Auditor position will offer you an excellent opportunity for career advancement in our growing firm.

Responsibilities:

*Performance of all audit and review functions during fieldwork, including workpapers, report and client correspondence

*Preparation of financial statements

*In charge of initiating the planning process for all audit, review and compilation engagements for which he/she is designated as responsible, prior to the beginning of fieldwork.

*Perform accounting research as required and document conclusions. Should have the ability to compose client correspondence on technical accounting issues with minimal manager or member oversight

*Assist in developing and coaching professional tax staff

*Help to develop and manage client relationships

*Provide timely and unmatched client service and exceed client expectations

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Economics, Finance, or other business-related field

CPA in good standing

Minimum of 5 years' relevant progressive experience in public accounting required

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and Word

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of Prosystems fx Engagement software
