In this contract position, you would work under the Director of the Diagnostic Services Department and be responsible for completing psychological/neuropsychological reviews and supervising/training all psychometrists in the region/state.
Position Summary & Purpose
The 1099 Psychologist works with the Diagnostic Services Department and is responsible for completing psychological/neuropsychological review and signing reports, conducting supervision and training of all Psychometrists in the region/state.

What You’ll Do
The following are duties and responsibilities that the Psychologist shall provide:
- To provide comprehensive neuropsychological, psychological and/or psychoeducational evaluations of clients with referral concerns related to learning, behavioral, emotional, and/or social difficulties.
- To provide written and oral feedback if needed to clients regarding results of evaluations, diagnostic impressions, and recommendations for appropriate remediation of concerns including referrals.
- Compile a written report detailing the evaluation findings, diagnosis(es), and recommendations to be kept in the patient’s medical record and to be shared with the patient (or their legal guardian in the case of a minor) and referral source (in accordance with HIPAA Privacy and Security Plans).
- Ensure that written documentation is completed and uploaded within the KPI expectations. This is a maximum of seven-fourteen days.
- Comply with ABA Center’s of America KPIs of chart review and signature. KPI states up to eighty chart signatures and review per week is the expectations.
- Provide direct Supervision (Individual/Group) and Training of Neuropsychological Testing/Assessment to “Diagnostic Specialists” (Psychometrists/Technicians).
- Actively seek out supervision when needed.
- Remain current within the field of psychology and seek opportunities for continuing education related to psychological/neuropsychological testing of pediatric patients.
- Maintain an active license and good standing with the state board of psychology.
- Comply with ABA Center’s of America’s ’s HIPAA privacy and security policies.
- Collaborate with all other team members to facilitate realization of the mission of ABA Centers of America, including attending routine departmental and general staff meetings.
- Must maintain all active licenses and apply for new state licenses upon request.
Requirements
Education/Experience and Other Requirements
- Doctoral Degree in Clinical Psychology or Developmental Psychology (Psy.D. or Ph.D.) with specific training in assessment of pediatric and adolescent neurodevelopmental disorders, including specific learning disorders, ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, and intellectual disability.
- Ability to maintain clean background/drug screenings and driving record (required).
- Prior training experience with assessment/administration/scoring/interpreting of Neuropsychological Tests required.
- Experience administering measures/tests of Intellectual Functioning, Development, Autism Spectrum Disorder including the ADOS-2, Social Communication, and Emotional and Behavioral Functioning.
