Rollins Child Development Center is a private child development center located in Cartersville, GA. Our school is committed in our mission to provide a strong early learning program to our youngest community aged six weeks through six years. Our curriculum includes strong and vibrant Infant, Toddler, Pre-School, Pre-Kindergarten, and Kindergarten programs. Our center offers a safe and nurturing environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive.


Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Early Childhood Educator at Rollins Child Development Center. The Early Childhood Educator will be responsible for planning and implementing developmentally appropriate activities for children, promoting social-emotional development, fostering a love of learning, and maintaining a safe and engaging classroom environment.


Our teachers are responsible for:  

  • Building responsive relationships with all children, families and co-workers 
  • Planning and implementing developmentally appropriate activities and lesson plans using approved school curriculums 
  • Record keeping and reporting as indicated by school policies and Georgia state regulations 
  • Maintaining and modeling professional and ethical standards as stated 
  • Using a variety of approved methods and material to engage students to reach all areas of growth and development to include cognitive, physical, social and emotional growth 
  • Diaper changing and toilet training when required 
  • Other duties as specified and directed 

Requirements:  

  • Georgia state issued CDA is minimum educational requirement 
  • Masters, Bachelor or Associate degrees are preferred 
  • Minimum 1 year experience in related field 
  • Must pass extensive criminal background and drug screens 
  • Must be available and willing to work one Saturday per month 
  • Demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices 
  • Strong written and communication skills
