Job Description

Large food manufacturer in the Anaheim area is seeking a Sanitation Manager to oversee 3rd shift operations. This person is responsible for overseeing and managing the sanitation team to ensure a clean and safe working environment. This role involves developing and implementing sanitation procedures, training and supervising staff, and maintaining compliance with food safety regulations. Shift begins at 11pm.


Responsibilities

  • Team Management:
  • Hire, train, and supervise sanitation staff.
  • Assign tasks and schedules to ensure efficient operations.
  • Monitor employee performance and provide feedback and coaching.
  • Address employee concerns and resolve conflicts.
  • Sanitation Procedures:
  • Develop and implement sanitation standard operating procedures (SSOPs).
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including FDA, USDA, and local health codes.
  • Conduct regular facility inspections to identify sanitation needs and potential hazards.
  • Monitor the use of cleaning chemicals and equipment to ensure proper application and safety.
  • Inventory and Maintenance:
  • Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.
  • Schedule and oversee equipment maintenance and repairs.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving measures for sanitation operations.
  • Quality Assurance:
  • Conduct regular quality assurance audits to verify compliance with sanitation standards.
  • Investigate and resolve any sanitation-related issues or complaints.
  • Collaborate with production and quality assurance teams to ensure product safety and quality.


Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in food sanitation or a related field.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and HACCP principles.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Ability to train and motivate staff.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks and lift heavy objects.
