Role: Sr. Tableau Developer/ Tableau Architect

We are seeking an experienced Senior Tableau Developer/Tableau Architect to design, develop, and maintain advanced data visualization solutions to support organizational decision-making. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in Tableau, a deep understanding of data analysis, and the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders to transform data into actionable insights.


Key Responsibilities:

Dashboard and Report Development:

  • Design, develop, and deploy interactive dashboards and reports using Tableau.
  • Ensure visualizations are user-friendly and aligned with business requirements.

Data Preparation and Integration:

  • Connect Tableau to various data sources (databases, APIs, etc.) and ensure data accuracy.
  • Work with ETL processes to prepare and clean data for optimal Tableau performance.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Gather requirements from stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Provide recommendations for improving business processes using data-driven insights.

Performance Optimization:

  • Optimize Tableau dashboards for speed, scalability, and efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot performance issues and implement improvements as needed.

Documentation and Standards:

  • Document technical processes, data workflows, and dashboard functionalities.
  • Adhere to organizational standards for data governance and visualization best practices.

Mentorship and Training:

  • Train and mentor junior team members on Tableau best practices.
  • Conduct training sessions for end-users on Tableau tools and dashboards.

Advanced Analytics:

  • Implement advanced Tableau features like LOD expressions, parameters, and calculated fields to deliver sophisticated analytics.
  • Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to integrate predictive analytics into dashboards.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field. Advanced degrees are a plus.

Experience:

  • 8+ years of hands-on experience in Tableau development and data visualization.
  • Proven experience with SQL and relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle).
  • Familiarity with ETL tools and data preparation platforms.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Tableau Desktop, Tableau Server, and Tableau Prep.
  • Strong SQL skills for data querying and manipulation.
  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, R) is a plus.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Tableau certification (e.g., Tableau Desktop Certified Professional).
  • Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Knowledge of other BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Qlik) is advantageous.
