We are currently seeking a Desktop Support Analyst to join our IT team in Wallingford!
Overview:
This position is responsible for providing technical support to end-users for hardware, software, and network-related issues. This role involves troubleshooting, resolving simple to complex problems, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide onsite and remote desktop support for all employees of the company, as well as mobile device support for company owned devices.
- Perform all necessary steps for onboarding and offboarding of employees, including setup of new equipment, installation of software, setup of user accounts and permissions.
- Set-up, configure and maintain desktop and laptop PCs, as well as establish and maintain network connection, security components, software, and access permissions on these devices.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of deployed hardware and installed software, as well as ensure adequate stock inventory
- Order computer systems and parts
- Maintain the company phone systems and work closely with the phone service provider to keep the lines active
Experience Desired:
- 3-5 years of experience in a Desktop Support function
- Minimum of Associates degree or higher in the technology field
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Experience with setting up and configuring computer systems using Microsoft Windows and Mac
- Experience with maintaining user accounts and permissions on network and MS 365
- Experience in Microsoft 365 Administration (Endpoint Security, Entra, Intune, Azure, MS Teams, SharePoint, MS Phone, Power Platform)
- Understanding how to connect and configure printers, switches, and hubs on a network and basic server management
- Experience with security related software, setup and maintenance (Backup software, Detect and Respond / Anti Virus, MFA)
