As a Front Desk Agent, you will play a key role in delivering outstanding guest service and contributing to the financial success of the hotel. You will be the first point of contact for guests, greeting and registering them, and ensuring smooth check-out processes. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guest Registration & Check-In : Greet guests warmly, complete the registration process, including inputting and retrieving information from the computer, confirming guest information, selecting rooms, coding electronic keys, and providing a welcome packet. Ensure guests are familiar with room locations and, if necessary, arrange for a bellperson.
- Check-Out Assistance : Assist guests with check-out, ensuring rooms and services are correctly accounted for, processing payments (credit/debit cards, cash, foreign currency, gift certificates), and managing point-of-sale transactions accurately.
- Guest Services & Inquiries : Respond to guest inquiries, requests, and concerns in a friendly, efficient, and professional manner. Provide information about hotel amenities, room categories, local attractions, and promotions.
- Upselling & Marketing : Use up-selling techniques to promote hotel services, facilities, and packages, maximizing room occupancy and enhancing the guest experience.
- Message Handling & Communication : Receive, input, and relay messages to guests. Ensure clear and timely communication with guests and hotel departments.
- Guest Satisfaction : Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of the hotel and local area to assist guests, ensuring their satisfaction and addressing any issues promptly.
Qualifications:
- Proven customer service skills, with a strong focus on guest satisfaction.
- Previous front desk experience in a hotel or similar hospitality environment is preferred.
- Proficiency in handling multi-line phone systems.
- Strong communication skills and a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Knowledge of hospitality management principles.
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus.
- Familiarity with guest relations and night audit processes is a plus.
