Corporate Legal Assistant
LHH is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Corporate Legal Assistant to support one of our law firm clients. This role focuses on real estate, business transactions, and mergers and acquisitions.
The ideal candidate will have at least three years of relevant experience, strong organizational and proofreading skills, and the ability to collaborate with support teams and administrative agencies. This is a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, and hybrid work may be available after the first 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare, proofread, format, and edit correspondence, contracts, and agreements, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Manage and maintain calendars, including scheduling appointments, meetings, and conference calls.
- Oversee client billing tasks, such as reviewing and editing pre-bills and sending final invoices to clients.
- Monitor project deadlines, proactively checking in with attorneys and providing reminders as needed.
- Assign tasks to other departments, track progress, and communicate updates to the team.
- Maintain and organize legal files, both electronic and physical, including minute books.
- Coordinate transactional closings, updating closing checklists and collaborating with clients and legal professionals.
- Assist with corporate filings and entity formations, such as filing articles of incorporation and annual reports.
- Communicate professionally and courteously with clients, attorneys, and other legal professionals.
- Docket annual reminders and provide general support for attorneys and team members as required.

Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience as a legal assistant specializing in real estate, corporate/business transactions, and mergers and acquisitions. Environmental regulatory experience is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook. Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat (or similar), DocuSign, Excel, and PowerPoint is required. Experience with BigHand is a plus.
- Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to remain composed under pressure.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Salary: $56,000-$90,000/year (DOE).
