BIOMEDICAL EQUIPMENT TECHNICIAN

Position Summary

Provide repairs and preventative maintenance for Biomedical equipment. Maintain records, document results, and coordinate outside resources for repairs.

Essential Duties

• Perform repairs and calibration to biomedical equipment and maintain service records.
• Assist other personnel as required.
• Research resources and suppliers.
• Maintains work area in a neat and orderly fashion.
• Participate in ongoing educational opportunities provided.
• Work with auditing agencies and their requirements i.e., ACHA, TJC.
• Work with NFPA-99 and electrical leakage limits with good understanding of biological parameters (monitoring; HR/Pulse O2/O2 sat/pressures/etc.)

Required Experience

• 1+ years of experience repairing Biomedical Equipment.
• Preference for experience with hemodialysis, ventilators, and anesthesia equipment.
• An associate's degree with a qualifying internship can take the place of 1 year of experience.
