The Role:
Our site in San Luis Obispo, California is seeking a Control Systems Technician to join our team. The Control Systems Technician must have hands on experience with control panels, wiring, end-devices (valves, sensors). They must also be able to manage program downloads, startups as well as troubleshooting existing systems.
What You’ll Do:
- Troubleshooting, reporting required changes to existing systems on production floor (hardware & software).
- Testing built systems.
- Troubleshooting systems at customer sites.
- Documentation.
- Configuring spares to send out to customer sites.
- Leadership/mentorship of other team members.
- Attending multi-functional meetings, representing team.
- Working under pressure of deadlines.
- Any other duties as assigned.
What We Seek:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Technical diploma a plus.
- Certified electrician/electrical technician a plus.
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in hands-on electrical and electronic systems troubleshooting.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering design documentation.
- Experience with control systems documentation.
- Excellent written & verbal skills.
- Ability to corelate design specs to control system functionality.
