Desired Skills and Experience

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Direct the Research and Development (R&D) team for our nutritionals category, from ideation to commercialization.
• Drive accountability, consistency, quality, and process standardization across all phases of research and development.
• Develop and monitor research plans for R&D projects, ensuring projects are completed on time and within cost objectives.
• Coordinate Science, Research and Technical aspects of projects.
• Ensure that stakeholders are kept fully informed.
• Act as R & D subject matter expert and collaborator/advisor with the Brand Marketing and Operations Teams regarding manufacturing capabilities, product and machine acquisitions, market trends, and new technologies.

• Ability to develop complete and accurate budgets, project justifications and timelines
• Strong written and oral communication skills

Qualifications:

• 15+ years of related Research and Development experience in the CPG and/or natural products industry with an expertise in vitamins and supplement and other nutritional products - solid dosage formulation preferred
• 5+ years of management experience mentoring and growing a scientific staff
• Ph.D. in Chemistry or related discipline
• Strong project management skills
• YOU MUST BE LEGALLY AUTHORIZED TO WORK IN THE UNITED STATES TO BE ACCEPTED FOR THIS POSITION
