Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Cost Analyst to join our team at a hydro plant in Stanley, NC. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project controls, with experience managing the financial aspects of 20-30 projects simultaneously. This role involves scoping, funding, and ensuring the financial health of various projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain project budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
• Monitor and control project costs to ensure alignment with approved budgets.
• Conduct cost analysis and provide recommendations for cost optimization.
• Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to scope and fund projects.
• Prepare and present financial reports to management and stakeholders.
• Track project expenditures and identify variances from the budget.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
• Assist in the preparation of funding requests and financial documentation.
• Support the development and implementation of project control processes and tools.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in cost analysis and project controls.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in financial software and tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the energy sector, particularly in hydroelectric projects.
• Certification in project management or cost control (e.g., PMP, CCP).
