POSITION SUMMARY


Concrete Foreman


Directly supervises workers’ and subcontractors’ day-to-day work on construction projects.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Supervises and directs the work of designated team members and subcontractors.
  • Monitors productivity and work quality to meet schedules and standards.
  • Troubleshoots any issues involving workers, contractors, safety, quality, changes, or processes and expedites solutions.
  • Monitors and ensures adherence to all company and customer quality policies and procedures.
  • Oversees expenditures to ensure they are within budget
  • Meets with customers to communicate progress and/or participates in site meetings as required by the company and/or customers.
  • Operates various equipment and uses a variety of tools on the job as needed.
  • Determines materials and quantities needed and places orders to ensure work demands and deadlines are met.
  • Performs site work such as layouts; installation of wood or metal frame work, concrete forms, ladders, handrails, walkways, platforms and gangways; erects scaffolding or temporary access structures.
  • Consistently communicates with Project Manager regarding project plans and status as well as labor and resource needs.
  • Completes STA’s, Equipment Checklists, Hot Work forms and daily time and labor reports.
  • Performs minor maintenance and cleaning of tools and equipment.

Identifies and addresses potential safety hazards.

Investigates all accidents and good catches (near misses), completes the necessary paperwork in a timely manner, and submits all documentation to the designated personnel for handling.

Adheres to all safety protocols and regulations.



QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

  • Five (5) or more years of related industry experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Prior experience leading, directing and supervising others
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Good communication and organization skills
