We’re seeking a Manager of Manufacturing – Printing Operations to oversee all aspects of the printing manufacturing process, ensuring operational excellence, efficiency, profitability, and continuous innovation. This role will also include managing the maintenance of existing equipment and working closely with product development to evaluate and implement new printing technologies to grow the business.



The Role

As the Manager of Manufacturing – Printing Operations , you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end production processes for printing on Christmas ornaments and other mediums. This includes ensuring operational efficiency, maintaining equipment, exploring new technology opportunities, and managing the P&L for the printing operations. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring expertise in manufacturing processes and a strategic approach to growth and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operations Management:
  • Oversee all printing processes, including inkjet, pad printing, and screen printing, ensuring production meets quality and delivery standards.
  • Develop and implement operational workflows to maximize efficiency and output.
  • Monitor production schedules and ensure timely completion of customer orders.
  • Equipment Oversight:
  • Ensure proper maintenance and repair of all printing equipment to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to establish preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Work closely with product development teams to evaluate, recommend, and implement new printing equipment to support growth and innovation in the printing business.
  • Process Optimization:
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement to reduce waste, increase efficiency, and enhance product quality.
  • Introduce and implement Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles where applicable.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to optimize machinery performance and streamline workflows.
  • Financial Management:
  • Manage the P&L for the printing operations, ensuring profitability through cost management and efficiency.
  • Monitor budgets, control operational costs, and implement cost-saving initiatives.
  • Provide regular financial and operational reports to senior leadership.
  • Team Leadership:
  • Lead, train, and mentor a team of production supervisors, operators, and maintenance personnel.
  • Foster a culture of safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct performance reviews and implement development plans to enhance team skills.
  • Quality Assurance:
  • Ensure all products meet established quality standards.
  • Develop and enforce quality control measures and standards for printing operations.
  • Health & Safety:
  • Maintain a safe and compliant work environment by adhering to OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions for employees.



What We’re Looking For

Experience & Skills:

  • 7+ years of manufacturing experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Expertise in printing processes, including inkjet, pad printing, and screen printing.
  • Proven experience managing manufacturing operations, including P&L accountability.
  • Strong knowledge of equipment maintenance practices and new technology evaluation.
  • Experience collaborating with product development teams to implement new equipment or processes.
  • Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lead diverse teams and foster a collaborative work environment.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Equivalent work experience in a manufacturing environment will be considered.

Other Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of financial metrics and cost management.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills.
  • Experience with ERP systems and production scheduling software is a plus.
