Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Tool and Die Maker to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, fabricating, and maintaining precision tools and dies used in the production process. This role requires a strong understanding of machining processes and the ability to work with various materials to create high-quality components that meet strict specifications.
Duties
- Design and fabricate tools, dies, and fixtures using CAD software such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
- Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to ensure accurate production of parts.
- Operate CNC machines, milling machines, and other precision equipment to manufacture components.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and tolerances of finished products.
- Assemble and test tools and dies to ensure functionality and performance standards are met.
- Perform maintenance on tools and equipment, including welding and fabrication as necessary.
- Collaborate with engineers and production staff to troubleshoot issues and improve manufacturing processes.
Skills
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD,.
- Experience with CNC programming and operation of milling machines.
- Strong knowledge of precision measuring instruments for quality control.
- Ability to assemble, weld, and fabricate components as needed.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills to work effectively within a team setting.
