Position Overview:
The Operations manager is a key part of the management team. They analyze and improve organizational processes, and work to improve quality, productivity, and efficiency.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise and train warehouse employees to ensure peak operational efficiency and high customer satisfaction, while establishing and managing operational goals.
- Develop and implement warehouse systems for product handling, storage, equipment utilization, inventory management, and shipping processes.
- Oversee daily operations, including inventory control, logistics, quality assurance, space management, and shipping, while maintaining a safe work environment in compliance with legal regulations.
- Schedule and manage the warehouse team to meet fulfillment center demands while optimizing workflow to enhance efficiency and minimize overtime.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and oversee maintenance as needed.
- Perform analyses of labor and process costs versus margins for all products and collaborate with order management to ensure timely shipping and adherence to service level agreements.
- Enforce company policies and promote a culture of ownership, accountability, and urgency among all employees.
- Review and enforce attendance policies in collaboration with HR.
- Ensure documentation of productivity metrics is shared with supervisors for follow-up.
- Facilitate annual employee reviews, including self-reviews, and approve staffing changes to align with budget and production goals.
- Collaborate with senior leadership on outsourcing decisions and schedule monthly one-on-one meetings with direct reports to discuss performance and provide guidance.
- Ensure a clean, organized production floor with a focus on safety.
Experience & Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, business, or a related field or equivalent experience required.
- 3+ years prior management experience in manufacturing preferred.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and relevant industry software.
- Bilingual; proficiency in Spanish is highly desirable.

Physical Requirements
- Lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Must be able to perform extensive standing, walking, and climbing.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, and climb to reach materials (must be able to climb a ladder)
- The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
