Area Sales Manager - MT & ID Region

We’re looking for a driven, energetic individual to join our MD & ID region Culligan team as an Area Sales Manager ! Work with the industry leader and manage a team of professionals selling the best drinking water, water treatment and filtration systems in the business, behind a name that sells itself.
In this position, you will serve as an Area Sales Manager at Packard Culligan , a franchise of Culligan International. You will have responsibility to manage Residential sales and Commercial Drinking Water sales employees, activities, and results at assigned locations in the MT & ID Region and will be based out of your local office in that region (Billings, Bozeman, Butte, Boise, Twin Falls)

The following are key competencies and responsibilities for the position:
Sales Strategy and Execution
- Develop sales goals and activity requirements to support the strategy
- Monitor competitive landscape and develop plans to address risks and opportunities
- Use data and analytics to forecast sales staffing and resource needs
- Communicate strategic needs with marketing leaders and agencies
- Lead team to develop creative strategies and initiatives to support sales growth
- Sales Management and Leadership
- Communicate clear expectations for sales activities and results
- Provide oversight and accountability for the activities and results of sales leads and sales representatives
- Ensure sales employees receive the training and development necessary for their job
- Provide regular coaching, development, and performance management with direct reports and establish accountability for the same practices between sales leads and their employees
- Use sales metrics to coach to results, trends, and opportunities for teams and individuals
- Ensure the sales team’s efforts are aligned with company vision and values
- Lead and manage through change to support adoption of new behaviors and ongoing two-way communication
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Provide guidance and coordination for sales-related activities with operations and service partners
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop approaches and initiatives that will drive market differentiation and success
- Actively participate and contribute to the goals and objectives of the company by working collaboratively and fostering a positive and inclusive work environment
- Skills and qualifications

Experience requirements
- 2+ years of sales leadership experience
Preferred experience and education
- Bachelor’s Degree completion
- Sales leadership experience across multiple locations
- Salesforce experience preferred but not essential

Minimum Qualifications
- Education - Bachelor’s Degree completion
- Experience and/or Training - Proven effective communication, leaderships skills, customer service, analytical, mechanical and problem solving skills. High energy level and enthusiasm and ability to work independently & lead your team.
- Ability to travel regularly – may exceed 50%.
- Licenses/Certifications - Valid Driver’s License with proven safe driving history and own transportation.
- Technology/Equipment - Sufficient skill with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and a personal laptop computer.
- Other - Must successfully pass background check, drug test, and Motor Vehicle Check.
