What will you be doing
The Account Manager will be responsible for ensuring our new and existing customers are fully supported, onboarded, kept informed, account managed and ready to use our products and services at the beginning of their customer journey.
You will work cohesively with all parts of the organization to support our customers by coordinating and delivering tailored training ensuring that all steps of the onboarding process have been completed. You will share best practice, complete new feature demonstrations and raise awareness of complimentary products in the company portfolio.
This role requires the monitoring of the early customer journey and pro-active communication to customers and partners by both phone and email. You will have a crucial role by setting the foundations for our customers to guarantee they have the base knowledge to build upon and efficiently implement this technology into the classroom. While most sessions are online, some local travel is essential where customers require onsite training and or support.
Key responsibilities will include
- Monitor and evaluate customer onboarding
- Work closely and collaboratively with internal teams to ensure customers have a seamless experience
- Effectively communicate with end users to ensure training is completed
- Keep accurate records of communication with customers
- Use internal systems and keep records up to date
- Serve as the primary point of contact for our customers.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships.
- Understand customer needs and ensure timely delivery of solutions.
- Collaborate with internal teams to meet customer objectives.
- Manage customer expectations and resolve issues or conflicts.
- Identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell services/products.
- Monitor and report on account performance and key metrics.
- Prepare regular reports on customer activity and progress.
- Assist in contract renewals and negotiations.
- Ensure customer satisfaction and retention through excellent service.
- Grow the account by leveraging the success and scaling into the schools and the district.
Knowledge, skills, experience and qualifications
Essential
- Experience of training with instructional technology tools
- Able to work in a fast paced, high growth environment
- Be able to build a rapport quickly with stakeholders
- The ability to work collaboratively across internal teams to achieve success
- Access to a vehicle for travel purposes
Desirable
- Experience or understanding the use of technology in classrooms
- Experience working with CRM and online sales tools
- Experience in either customer service, sales, retention or education
- Broad understanding of technology and, preferably, its use in education
- Skills in an additional language
