Inside/Outside Sales
Summary
The Inside/Outside Sales Representative is responsible for driving sales growth by developing and maintaining relationships with new and existing customers within the metal fabrication industry. This role involves a combination of inside sales (phone, email, virtual meetings) and outside sales (in-person and site visits). Additionally, the Salesperson will play a crucial role in costing and estimating for customer projects, ensuring accurate, competitive pricing and profitability for the company. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of metal fabrication processes, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record in sales.

Responsibilities
- Engage with prospective and existing customers via phone, email, and virtual meetings to understand their needs and present relevant solutions.
- Understand client requirements and provide tailored solutions to meet their needs.
- Review customer specifications, blueprints, and technical requirements to develop detailed cost estimates for metal fabrication projects.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the metal fabrication market.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to develop and propose custom fabrication solutions.
- Inform respective superiors about customer related affairs.
- Prepare and deliver accurate and competitive quotes and sales proposals tailored to the customer’s requirements. Follow up to secure orders.
- Manage the Purchase Order inbox, process purchase orders and create sales orders in our ERP system.
- Coordinate with production and operations teams to ensure customer orders are processed efficiently and meet specified delivery timelines.
- Conduct in-person visits to customer sites to build strong relationships, assess needs, and provide solutions tailored to their fabrication requirements.
- Process orders and ensure all necessary documentation is completed accurately and on time.
- Manage the entire sales process from initial inquiry to order fulfillment. Ensure timely and accurate processing of customer orders.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in sales, with a strong preference for experience in the manufacturing industry.
- Must possess strong mechanical knowledge. Engineering background preferred.
- Solid understanding of metal fabrication processes, materials, and applications. Ability to discuss technical details and solutions with customers.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and persuasively.
- Experience with ERP systems
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts and tasks effectively.
- Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets. Strong negotiation, closing, and relationship-building skills.
