Zentis is Europe's number one fruit processing company and one of the leading brand manufacturers of jams, sweets and custard-based dessert. The Company's North American operations are located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Plymouth, Indiana, where we produce fruit and dairy preparations for a variety of customers including yogurt, ice cream and bakery manufacturers.


The Zentis Sales Team is looking for a unique account manager who can combine their analytical expertise working in Excel, databases, and software systems like SAP, with business development and customer management skills. Our ideal candidate has worked in the food services industry and is eager to develop relationships with current and new customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategies to increase profits, sales, and forecast accuracy.
  • Manage a portfolio of current customer accounts, building strong relationships and understanding customer needs, potential opportunities, or threats to business.
  • Lead key customer interactions, including RFPs, pricing negotiations, and business development initiatives.
  • Drive all aspects of customer relationships (sales/ service/ quality/ R&D/ financials/ forecasts/ communication/ etc.) Cross functional support and expertise is provided.
  • Identify, evaluate, and secure opportunities to expand into new markets or innovations.
  • Provide accurate forecasts, identify pain points, manage new business projects, and work with the internal team to overcome obstacles to business growth and success.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, food science, or related fields (or equivalent experience)
  • 3-5 years of outside sales experience (food service or ingredient sales experience preferred)
  • Strong initiative with proactive and results-driven approach.
  • Skills in project management, financial literacy, and business development.
  • Culinary, R&D, or Technical knowledge is a bonus but not required.
